We also provide high end maritime navigation and situational awareness products and programs to government and private sector clients.  Our focus is on critical infrastructure protection for the energy (oil, gas, Mining & nuclear), transportation (maritime, airlines, railroads), and chemical (chlorine, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals) industries for commercial firms and government entities.

An “All Hazards” Approach

Our “all hazards” approach allows customers to reduce vulnerabilities and control potential cascading effects of a calamitous event resulting from a terrorist attack, natural disaster, criminal act, system or technical breakdown, espionage, negligence, or other significant event. Our threat and vulnerability assessment of facilities, supply chains and logistics systems, and transportation systems identifies an enterprise’s critical operational nodes and key market vulnerabilities. We then propose continuity of operations solutions to improve deterrence posture and lower the likelihood of an event occurring, or speed recovery from an otherwise disastrous event, through planning, training, and appropriate technologies and equipment.

Red Team- “We Think Like the Enemy”

By assuming the identity of a hostile force planning on performing terrorism, espionage, extortion, fraud, or sabotage, and using legitimate and credible plans and strategies, the Layered Security Solutions Red Team tests assumptions, plans, and response posture in real world scenarios. Red Team does not use conventional thought processes and assumptions, nor does it react to conventional security. It remains independent and outside the facility, accessing only what the enemy can access using everyday resources that could be used to exploit or target a facility or activity.

Following the assessment, we report on our activities and findings, and provide a course of action to plug those gaps, lessen risk, improve procedures and response posture, harden critical resources and recommend recovery plans.

Security Training

Facility Security is only as good as the least security-conscious employee. Threats are not limited to terrorist or criminal action, and investments in physical security and surveillance equipment can easily be thwarted by a momentary Lapse in attentiveness.

The awareness training is built on our four step detect, deter, respond recover approach to facility protection.  Our approach includes a security assessment, a customized security awareness implementation plan, training, and exercise execution.

Specialized Procurement

UC provides consultancy services for the acquisition of protection systems, as well as provide the installation services and training for the operators or end users. Our supplier’s inventory covers a broad spectrum in border security systems, perimeter security, radars, maritime and airport security systems.
